METAL FLAQUE offers you its “Cleaning and Preservation” service. Make an appointment with one of our seamstresses who will receive you to examine your dress and identify stains and soiling. If your dress has suffered small “accidents”, we can offer you a repair quote.
Your dress will be cleaned by our seamstresses or in an ecological dye house
Depending on the nature of the tasks, your dress will be cleaned by our team of seamstresses or entrusted to an ecological dyeing without the use of perchlorethylene. Eco-friendly, effective and gentle, this technique ensures greater longevity to the garment. She will be ironed by hand.
Then packed in a preservation box
Our seamstresses will then fold very gently your wedding dress in a non acid organic cotton muslin with tissue paper, PH neutral too, to avoid wrinkles that may form over time. Finally, your dress will be packed in a polypropylene storage box with neutral PH. We have selected these boxes from a major museum supplier to ensure that your dress is as well protected as the most valuable period costumes. We will place in the box a pair of white cotton gloves so that you can handle your dress without the risk of staining. If your wedding dress has already been cleaned, you can entrust it to us so that we can pack it without previous cleaning.
We can of course take care of the preservation of your dress even if its not coming from METAL FLAQUE.
