To buy a wedding dress at Metal Flaque

METAL FLAQUE is open to all, but…

We strongly believe that METAL FLAQUE should in principle be open to all and that customers should be able to try on dresses immediately without having to pre-order from a catalogue, as is often the case in bridal shops.

It can however sometimes happen, especially on Saturdays, that lots of customers are in the process of trying on dresses and our entire team is busy. In such cases, don’t hold it against us if we ask you to come back at another time when it isn’t as busy.

It is therefore much better to make an appointment.

On the first appointment

You will be met by an adviser who will ask you a few questions in order to be able to guide you through the various ranges and styles stocked by METAL FLAQUE: the date and style of your wedding, your likes and dislikes, the budget you have set for your dress, etc.

The adviser will be your point of contact up until your dress is delivered.

You will then be able to see the dresses ‘in the flesh’ and choose the ones you would like to try.

Trying on takes place in ‘private’ rooms that enable the people you bring with you to be seated in comfortable surroundings whilst you try on the dresses. (We have to ask you not to bring more than three guests.)

You will be able to take photos so that you can look at them later with a clear head if you need some time to think before making your final choice.

You have found the dress of your dreams

Your adviser will take your exact measurements ready to order your dress and will ask you to sign an order form that will of course specify the delivery date as well as the date of the ‘first fitting’ which will enable us to make any final alterations so that your dress fits you perfectly. We will ask you to pay a deposit of 50% of the total value of your order so that we can ask the designer you have chosen to start planning the making of your dress.

Deadlines

As a general rule, the length of time between ordering a wedding dress and its arrival at METAL FLAQUE is between 2 and a half and 5 months, depending on the designer. For some styles, it may be possible to reduce that time. Some designers also make provision for ‘urgent delivery’ by applying a reasonable supplement.

Delivery of your dress

As soon as we receive your dress, your adviser will call you to arrange for you to come in for a fitting and will of course reserve a private room so that you can share this intimate moment with the people who come with you.

If any alterations are required, our seamstress will take care of them so that on the specified date you receive a dress that fits you perfectly.

It is during this appointment that we will ask you to pay the balance on your dress.

On the delivery date, your dress will of course be impeccably prepared and will be wrapped in a cover to protect it until the big day.
